PS3's For Everyone
I'm pleased to see so many people snag PS3's for Christmas. And Mr. Weiser snagged one a few months ago. We should all play Little Big Planet. I still have zero desire to buy a 360, though. At this point, I never will. |

Life update
Merry Christmas everyone. :) I've just emerged from a 12 hour long cocoon I'd climbed into last night upon getting home from the usual Christmas Eve dinner/presents exchange at my parents house. I somewhat successfully baked a Kahlua-coffee angel food cake that came out a little tilted and sweet, and thought I wasn't going to make it to midnight with just how exhausted I was. XD Useful presents for the house in hand, I stumbled up the stairs and promptly fell asleep. Not even the cats knew what hit them. Today is going to involve a lot of vegging and probably video game playing because I'm home alone and still sleepy. lachlana will be coming over tomorrow morning and staying 'till New Year's Eve. :D &hearts Planning to hit up Sherlock Holmes tomorrow, and sneak in a photoshoot sometime this weekend. Christmas gathering with the LI crew won't be happening 'till after the New Year. XD Extra couple of weeks of shopping! Nothing of note has been taking place this past month. I disappeared into Assassin's Creed II for weeks on end, and Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines has no grabbed me quite so fiercely. The control on the PSP are a little wonky, but I wanna know what happens damnit. Feels like this month came and went really quickly. And now that my train of thought went out the window.... Review of Bolt
Ack, what was Disney thinking when they came up with this movie? It's few far between where I can say I hated a Disney film. It basically hovers around animal cruelty for human entertainment. Lea was far more critical than I in this regard but I still found the whole premise cheap and exploitative. The only reason we kept watching after the first half is because of Rhino, the most amazing hamster ever and biggest non-bipedal fanboy in creation. Animation-wise, the pigeons' head movements while talking were amazing. They did their homework in getting the quick jerk movements perfectly. That, and the first 3 pigeons had a Good Feathers feel to them that was great. "You cooin' at me?" Current Mood: irritated |

~Moving~
So i got my apartment. I will be moving to Bloor and Lansdown. This is a very last minute call for people who can possibly make it out to help me. Im trying to rent a van for the 30th to move all the big furniture. So this is the day i would need the most help. If anyone with a car is free between the 27th and the 31st to possibly help me move a few smaller things over.. that would be very helpful. I know this is crazy last minute, but i just signed the lease today. so i didnt know when my move in daet would be. Please let me know If you are free to help and on which days. Help packing would be nice too. as i completely fail at that ._. |

Brittany Murphy Dead She had a heart attackThe only reason I post this is because (No, not Clueless) she worked with Paul Oakenfold a few years back and made an amazing piece club tune, Faster Kill, Pussycat. That was hot. |

PS3 Demo Reviews
Went a bit crazy and tried out quite a few of varying genre: BayonettaDevil May Cry with breasts essentially, but with far more acrobatics and god-sized combo attacks. I can see myself wasting a lot of time trying to S-rank everything, but for now will pass. Her style of dress is a bit too much for me, though. Brütal LegendDid NOT expect to enjoy this as much as I did (as did Lea). Jack Black's dialog is incredibly funny, and the entire premise is brilliantly off-the-wall and refreshing. I will be picking this game up sometime soon (hello $10 Amazon credit). BioshockAtmosphere: perfect; writing: perfect; FPS engine: fail. I never have, and never will, enjoyed FPS games. Sorry. Dante's InfernoYou have games that borrow popular engines, styles, or settings. Then you have games that are 100% imitations with only a new coat of paint to make it look different. The game I was most excited to try was the one that I find to be the biggest disappointment. It's literally God of War (with sprinkles of Castlevania) during the Crusades of the 1200s, and a veteran soldier goes through the 9 levels of hell to get his wife back from the Devil himself. It's hyper violent, graphically sexual and viscerally offensive to everyone. I can't recommend this, and at the most I may rent this. I want to see how many more elements they steal from Kratos and company. Current Mood: accomplished |
